This page gives details of events organised by ALRA, for Aston Lodge Park residents.
We're pleased to announce, that ALRA have booked Little Stoke Cricket Club, for an ‘Easter themed’ quiz.
The quiz will take place on Friday 22nd March. All are welcome, from 7.30pm, starting with a picture round. £5 per head, maximum of 6 people per team (cash on the door only, please) and you can bring your own picnic. There are prizes to be won, and all money raised, will go towards ALRA funds, for the benefit of our community. Book a table *
* Note: If you're unable to follow the ‘Book a table’ link above, then please email: email@example.com, giving the number of people in your team and your team's name. Thanks.
Thanks to those of you that were able to come along and support this event...
We opted for this date, as it coincided with the half term break, but unfortunately, we were only able to negotiate a 7.30pm start, which probably didn't suit families with young children. Plus, we had a number of last minute cancellations, due to stomach bugs! Because of the low numbers, we decided to not charge for this event.
A handful of regular cricket club members requested a few songs (that were not exactly romantic), but they seemed to enjoy themselves. 🙂
Thank-you to everyone that supported our Christmas quiz at Little Stoke Cricket Club, on Friday 8th December. The quiz consisted of 7 rounds, which were as follows: Picture (Films), Food, Drink, Around the World, Music (Pop Songs), Traditions and a Lucky Dip.
Six teams entered this fun competition, to win the Christmas hamper (including 3 bottles of wine and other goodies), that was shared by the winning team. The second place prize went to a tie breaker, when both teams finished just 4 points behind the winners.
Thanks once again to Little Stoke Cricket Club, for letting us use their facilities and to the bar staff for selecting the prize winner for the ‘Best Christmas Jumper’. A good time was had by all, and we raised another £138 to boost ALRA funds, for the benefit of the community.
If you weren't able to join us, you may like to have a go at the picture round: Christmas films.
This event, held on Friday 27th October, was enjoyed by all those that attended, and raised a fantastic £225 for the Aston Lodge Defibrillator fund.
There was a
fantastic turnout for the Halloween Disco on Friday. A big thank you to everyone who attended, and for
all the brilliant Halloween costumes ...both children and parents entered into the ‘spirit’ of it, with a selection of skeletons, witches, wizards, ghosts, ghouls, monsters of various kinds, and even a ghostbuster! Every penny raised from ticket sales has been donated to the Aston Lodge Defibrillator fund.
A big thank you also to Ed and Nigel, for donating their disco services, and to Little Stoke Cricket Club for letting us use their club.
It was a great night!
